RECOIL® Wire Thread Insert Types
FREE RUNNING –
- Can be used to repair tapped holes, which have been stripped or damaged due to wear, corrosion or over-torque
- Coil tightness holds insert in place without placing tension on surrounding material
SCREW LOCKING –
- Features a locking mechanism that grips the bolt and prevents it from loosening under vibration or impact
- Eliminates the need for thread locking mechanisms
TANGED –
- Tangs must be removed to eliminate interference with the end of the assembled bolt
- Tang break off tool is required
TANGLESS –
- Eliminates the need for a tang break-off tool
- Installs quickly and easily from either end
STRIP FEED REELS –
- Bulk inserts mounted on plastic strips available in reels of 500 or 1000
- Increases installation rates by minimizing handling
- Used with power installation tooling to support high volume production requirements

- A convenient way to quickly repair tapped holes which have been stripped or damaged

HAND INSTALLATION TOOLS

TANG BREAK OFF TOOLS
- Removes tang after installation to prevent interference with the end of an assembled bolt
POWER TOOLS
- Used for high volume production
- Can be hand held or mounted on a work station
- Consists of an air motor, adapter and front end assembly

- For use in tapping holes according to screw thread standards
