RECOIL® Wire Thread Insert Types

FREE RUNNING –

• Can be used to repair tapped holes, which have been stripped or damaged due to wear, corrosion or over-torque
• Coil tightness holds insert in place without placing tension on surrounding material

SCREW LOCKING –

• Features a locking mechanism that grips the bolt and prevents it from loosening under vibration or impact
• Eliminates the need for thread locking mechanisms

TANGED –

• Tangs must be removed to eliminate interference with the end of the assembled bolt
• Tang break off tool is required

TANGLESS –

• Eliminates the need for a tang break-off tool
• Installs quickly and easily from either end

STRIP FEED REELS –

• Bulk inserts mounted on plastic strips available in reels of 500 or 1000
• Increases installation rates by minimizing handling
• Used with power installation tooling to support high volume production requirements

• Removes tang after installation to prevent interference with the end of an assembled bolt

• Used for high volume production
• Can be hand held or mounted on a work station
• Consists of an air motor, adapter and front end assembly
